Ambassador Tareq Albanai, Permanent Representative of Kuwait to the United Nations, will deliver the second annual Ruth Steinkraus-Cohen Lecture on Tuesday, October 24, 2023, United Nations Day.

The topic of Ambassador Albanai’s speech is “Identifying Creative Opportunities to Solve Global Challenges:  A View from the Arabian Gulf.” Ambassador Albanai’s talk comes at a time of dynamic change in diplomatic relations among a number of Gulf nations and their long-standing adversaries, potentially offering opportunities for improved global cooperation. The event will take place at the Westport Library at 7:30 pm. The public is invited to attend and admission is free.
